Mark Mitchell has been an aquarist for over 40 years, with a special interest in freshwater species. Always fascinated with fish, and anything else that swam, slithered, crawled, walked, or flew, he pursued his veterinary degree and MS in wildlife epidemiology at the University of Illinois and a PhD in wildlife epidemiology at LSU. He is currently a professor of wildlife medicine and epidemiology at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Mitchell will be doing his talk: “What is My Fish Doing? Ante-Mortem and Post-Mortem Approaches to Diagnosing Disease in Ornamental Fish”
