Susan Robinson

Susan Robinson began keeping fish after seeing a neighbor’s fish bowl as a child and then begging her mother for a fish tank.  Her wish came true on her eighth birthday when she was gifted a 5 gallon tank full of goldfish.  That tank eventually leaked, but then during college, she started my hobby again with several ten gallon tanks, one with fish, plants and glass shrimp gathered from the Atchafalaya Basin.  For the next 35 years the number and size of the tanks expanded and she was actively breeding fish, including angelfish, julies, killifish, and for the last 5 years, bristlenose plecos.

Ten years of Toastmasters and many technical presentations as a mechanical engineer in the natural gas industry have provided a speaking background that she is now applying to fish topics. This will be her second speech for FOTAS.
